Journalism in london

During the summer of 2018, I had the opportunity to spend five weeks studying journalism in London. Throughout my time abroad, I took classes in both political and sports journalism that brought me all around the city. Within my courses, I was able to visit Westminster, London City Hall, The BBC, Lord’s Cricket Grounds, Wimbledon and Chelsea Stadium, not to mention all the sightseeing I did outside of class. I feel so lucky to have been able to immerse myself in the culture of London and hope one day to possibly work and live in the city. 

I have attached writing samples from both of my courses. For my sports class, I wrote a feature piece on an American’s perspective of cricket. The second piece is from my political journalism course and is an editorial on President Trump’s visit to Helsinki in summer of 2018.
