A few things about me…

My name is Amelia Gale and I am a recent graduate of the University of Oregon. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a focus in Public Relations and a minor in Business Administration. I fell in love with PR because of the people I was able to surround myself with, but stuck with it because of the stories I was able to tell.

Throughout my time at UO, I developed various types of journalistic skills inside the classroom, including, but not limited to, pitching, blog writing, social media campaigns and direct client work. During my senior year I had the amazing opportunity to serve as an Account Supervisor for Allen Hall PR and help plan virtual commencement for my 2020 graduating class.

Outside of the classroom, I worked as a PR Intern in Charleston, SC for Bread&Butter PR. Not only did that experience teach me about agency life, media relations and hospitality but pushed me out of my comfort zone, relocating to a new city across the country.

In my professional life, I hope to eventually work for an agency post-grad that deals in finance, entertainment or consumer lifestyle. As a Bay Area native, I would love to eventually find myself back in San Francisco, but have aspirations to move to New York City before settling anywhere.

In my free time, I love listening to The Head and The Heart, calling my 15 year old brother for a laugh, or watching the same shows over and over. On an ideal day, you could find me at Chrissy Field Beach in San Francisco throwing a tennis ball for my dog Toby, who controls my whole heart.

Quick Facts:

  • If you find a cute golden retriever video on the internet, I’ve probably seen it (but please send it anyway!)

  • Athens, Greece is at the top of my bucket list right now

  • My days usually start with Instagram and rarely with coffee

  • If I could eat one type of cuisine forever it would likely be Italian food. Margherita pizza with burrata please!

  • I call my mom at least twice a day (she is my inspiration)
